Reading:
My name is Annie and this is what I usually do. I love to walk in the mountains. During the week I get up early and go for a little walk in the mountains. I usually go with my dad or my brother. We like to get some fresh air before we start the day. We live in the countryside, far from the city. We think our life in the countryside is wonderful because we are away from the noise and pollution of the city. we walk for an hour and a half out of ten and then go back to our house.

I always take the bus after our walk and at about 8:30 and get to school at 9:00. My dad takes his car and goes into town to work. He works at a veterinary clinic. He is a veterinarian and loves helping animals. We have 3 dogs and two cats.

The week d we get up early and go for a walk in the mountains. It is so nice to smell the fresh air and see the wild animals.  We stayed there for about three hours and brought our lunch. As you can see, my family loves nature.

Exchange personal information about daily activities

What is an adverb of frequency and examples?
An adverb of frequency describes how often an action occurs. There are six main adverbs of frequency that we use in English:

Always (siempre),
 usually (normalmente),
 often (a menudo),
sometimes (a veces),
rarely (raramente)
never (nunca).

Activity_3
Read the following text and explain what you have understood about the daily activities of these people:

Living on a submarine is uncomfortable. The environment is hostile, and its crew members must adapt to living in minimal spaces, to the lack of light, to the bumps, to the little physical exercise and to a special diet. This is the daily life on the 'Tramontana', one of the three submersibles of the Spanish Navy.

It is easy to understand, therefore, that the movements inside the submarine are uncomfortable and that they end up being limited for reasons of order and the needs of the service.

In addition to the shortage of space, the lack of light is another vital conditioning factor on a submarine. The crew members of a vessel like the Tramontana spend between 120 and 130 days a year at sea.

The food is strict and lousy in the last days on the submarine since most of it is preserved food and when eating several days in a row it becomes a tiring diet and most of us tend to gain weight.

What did you understand? __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Third period

Talk about ways to help and care for the environment.

Eco-friendly activities
These ecological activities are an opportunity to connect the senses with the environment. Their success lies in seeking the utmost respect for natural places and becoming aware of it. This is achieved without leaving litter or disturbing the fauna and flora.

Activity_1

Read and reflect on the following text:
Caring for the environment does not require big actions, but from your own home you can make many small gestures to contribute to its protection. The current climate emergency requires that we all do our part to improve the situation. And the immense amounts of waste we generate suggest:

Annually the planet produces more than 2,100 million tons of waste, of which 16% (323 million tons) of that waste is recycled. According to the report What a waste. The United States produces the most waste per person in the world: three times more than the global average.

But what can we do here can give you an idea, Sweden: from waste to energy. The Scandinavian country is one of the European territories with the strongest environmental protection culture and therefore one of the most successful recycling rates. Only 1% of the waste ends up in landfills, the rest is recycled or used in plants to convert it into electricity.

According to the above, what do you think our country lacks to become like Sweden:_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
